It’s always going to be tough going from a franchise that is pretty much all anyone knows you for to being a proper film star making a range of project. That’s the challenge facing Daniel Radcliffe now that Harry Potter has completed shooting. He’s already filmed The Woman In Black and has another couple project up his sleeve, and now he’s boarded The Amateur Photographer, which looks like an attempt to up his acting credentials and get taken a bit more seriously.
Variety reports that the film is the lastest indie drama from director Christopher Monger, which he has adapted the screenplay from his own book of the same name.
The story follows a young man in the 1970s who is called upon by his small New England mill town to become their own personal photographer. Daniel Radcliffe will play the photographer, who gets swept up in the personal lives and intimate moments of those living in the town.
