As promised to us, the X-Men: First Class trailer has hit the web, giving us our first view of the mutants back in the 1960s, around the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis. To be honest the trailer doesn’t show us too much, as it’s more interested in introducing the idea of it being a prequel, tying it to what general audiences have seen before, and that it’ll show us how friends Professor X and Magneto got their mutant names and went from friend to enemies. Nevertheless, while it’s a bit difficult to say too much about the film just from this trailer, I can’t help but hope the actual film isn’t as po-faced and serious as this promo suggests.
