There’s little doubt that in the last few year Sylvester Stallone has been having a bit of a career resurgence, and despite the fact he’ll be a pensioner in July, he isn’t about to give up the tough guy roles he’s famous for.
THR reports that he’s signed up for Headshot, in which he’ll play a New York hitman, who ‘teams with a young NYPD detective in a high-stakes investigation that leads from the dingy back alleys of New Orleans all the way to the power corridors of Washington DC… The unlikely duo, brought together by two vicious murders, take on all who stand in their way, and are willing to sacrifice everything to exact revenge.’
Wayne Kramer (The Cooler, Running Scared) will direct, with shooting set to begin in May, with the film’s backers planning to sell of distribution rights at the European Film Market, which start later this week.
