Now here’s an interesting bunch of people to put together to make a movie! Stone was written by Prison Break star Wentworth Miller (under the pseudonym Ted Foulke), has Oldboy helmer Park Chan-Wook directing, Tony and Ridley Scott producing and now has Alice In Wonderland’s Mia Wasikowska in talks for the lead role. It all sounds a bit strange, but is certainly an intriguing mix.
Last year it looked like Carey Mulligan would have the lead role, with Jodie Foster supporting, but according to Deadline, both have since departed the project, although no reason is given as to why they’ve gone.
In the film, Wasikowska will ‘play an eccentric teen whose enigmatic and estranged uncle returns to the family after the death of the girls father. Strange things begin to happen.’ Miller has apparently also written a prequel called Uncle Charlie, that explores another buried secret in the same family’s past.
