Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling playing best friends always seemed a slightly unexpected pairing, but as you can see above in the first image from Crazy Stupid Love, which was debuted by Bleeding Cool, that’s what’s happening. The film itself sees Carell’s career suffering a midlife crisis, whose life unravels when his marriage crumbles and he tries to handle his relationship with his children. Gosling plays Carell’s suave best friend, who attempts to help him out. Julianne Moore plays Carell’s wife, while Kevin Bacon is the man she’s playing around with. The film will in cinemas next July.

The film goes the Enchanted route, so that when the evil wizard Gargamel chases the tiny blue Smurfs out of their village, they tumble from their magical world and into ours – in fact, smack dab in the middle of Central Park. Just three apples high and stuck in the Big Apple, the Smurfs must find a way to get back to their village before Gargamel tracks them down. So they turn to Neil Patrick Harris and Jayma Mays for help! The Smurfs hits cinemas in August,
