After Being John Malkovich and Adaptation, all anyone really wanted director Spike Jonze and writer Charlie Kaufman to do, was work together more, as each of their quirky sensibilities seemed to fit perfectly together. However over the last few years, they’ve been making separate projects, but now the LA Time reports they’re hoping to get back together.
Absolutely nothing is known about the movie, but the duo are working their way around Hollywood pitching the idea to potential backers – and it is just a pitch, so no script exists at the moment. Hopefully it won’t cost too much and someone will bite, as it would be great to see another project from the pair, who haven’t worked together since 2002.
Kaufman has had trouble of late getting his ideas off the ground, as since the credit crunch, people have been more reluctant to take a chance like they did with his directorial effort, Synedoche New York, but hopefully with JOnze attached to, this one will be different.
