Seth MacFarlane is busy preparing to shoot his first feature film, Ted, with Mark Wahlberg in the lead role. Now it appears he’s found a couple more people to star, with THR reporting that Mila Kunis and Adam Scott are both in talks for the film.
Kunis is hardly a surprise, as she’s voiced Meg on MacFarlane’s Family Guy ever since Lacey Chabert stepped aside following the first season, and so has a history for the director. Indeed, it’d be surprising if Seth Green and Alex Borstein don’t pop up in the film in some capacity as well.
MacFarlane co-wrote the script the script for Ted with Family Guy cohorts Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild, and he’ll also voice the film’s teddy bear star. The plot revolves around an average Boston guy who when he was young was granted his dearest wish, that his teddy would come to life. Years later the bear is still his best friend, but the relationship has become strained as rather than being a sweet and nice Care Bears type creature, Ted is a carousing, irresponsible, womanising, pot-smoking slacker, who is getting in the way of his buddy committing to adulthood and the girl he loves.
Kunis is in talks to play the girlfriend who finds a Teddy standing in the way of moving her relationship with Wahlberg’s character forward. Scott would be Kunis’ boss.
