There have been a few new posters come along in the last 24 hours, including a first one for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, as well as a new international Black Swan poster and a second character poster for Kevin Smith’s Red State. Take a look at them below.
JoBlo came across this first poster for Transformers 3, although to call it that may be a little grandiose. It was basically produced to show off the film at the 2010 Licensing International Expo and is therefore more designed for retailers than the general public. Indeed, it appears to be a retooled image from the second movie rather than something completely brand new (indeed, this has led some to suspect it’s a fake, but it is known this image has been used to promote the film). Transformers: Dark Of The Moon hits cinemas June 29th, 2011.
Glamour Magzine debuted this rather nifty UK poster for Black Swan, Darren Aronofsky’s film starring Natalie Portman as a ballet dancer whose life start coming apart at the seams. Black Swan arrivies in British cinemas January 21st.
Rather than just releasing images in a traditional fashion, Kevin Smith has been doing something more interesting with the character posters for his upcoming Red State. The first was released after fans pledged money to an anti-pedophilia charity, while for the second he held a 30-minute auction amongst film websites to be the first to show the image. The winner was gfbrobot.com who bid $2000 to Mitch Alboms www.havefaithhaiti.org, which is dedicated to the safety, education, health and spiritual development of Haitis impoverished children and orphans. As as result they got to bring us this pic of ‘The Father’ Abin Cooper. Smith pledged to match the bid, makign that $4000 in all! Smith’s ‘horror’ film about a dangerous cult, will premiere at Sundance.
