It’s not often that a film is edited so quickly that the cast and crew can watch the movie at the wrap party, but Kevin Smith managed it with his upcoming horror movie, Red State. It also means that while it only finished shooting a couple of weeks ago and will premire at Sundance, he can already release the first poster. Smith did so in thanks of fans donating over $1000 in less than 30 minutes to the anti-child prostitution charity, The Wayne Foundation.
That introduced us to the film’s first character poster, ‘The Virgin’ played by Kerry Bishe, who you can see below. Three more character posters are still to come. Four new photos from the film have also been released via the Sundance website, which you can view above and below.
Although exact details on Red State are still scant, it is known that it’s a dark ‘horror’, loosely inspired by Fred Phelps and his gay-hating, hater-mongering Westboro Baptist Church, who are famed for picketing the funerals of those whov’e died of AIDS or fallen in combat. It’ll hit cinemas in 2011.
