Terrence Malick really doesn’t like to tell people what he’s up to. Indeed he’s managed to get The Tree Of Life in tha can with virtually no details leaking out about the plot, and that’s despite the star wattage of Brad Pitt and Sean Penn appearing in the movie.
However with the movie now scheduled to open next spring and a trailer due to start playing alongside Black Swan in the US this weekend, it’s impossible for Malick to completely keep the lid on things any more. The first pictures have now been released by 24 Frames, which you can see above and below.
They also have a go at describing the trailer footage, which they say ‘exceeds’ expectations and that ‘What’s hinted at here is a big-canvas movie in the best sense, one with both cosmic significance and intimate drama.’ You can head over to 24 Frames for more details, and hopefully the trailer itself will pop up online very soon.
