Despite his legal problems and the fact they’ve flagged up that he’s actually a convicted kiddie fiddler, Roman Polanski seems to be having little trouble attracting a big name cast to his adaptation of Yazmina Reza’ Tony-Award winning play, Gods Of Carnage.
Deadline reports that the rather stellar grouping of Jodie Foster, Kate Winslet, Christoph Waltz and Matt Dillon are now all set to appear in the flick, as two New York couples, one of whose child has hurt the other at a public park. They meet to discuss the matter in a civilised manner, but as the evening goes on, the parents become increasingly childish, resulting in the evening devolving into chaos. Think Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? but with parents.
It’s the sort of film that needs a strong cast and it sure seem to have one, with all four actors able to hit it out of the park given the right material.
Due to the fact Polanksi still can’t return to America, he’s shooting the Brooklyn set movie in France, with filming commencing next February.
