There’s little doubt that there’s been huge internet buzz surrounding Edgar Wright’s Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World, although as yet, it’s difficult to know whether that interest has started to spread to the wider world. It’s a problem the studios are increasingly facing, where the web is so abuzz that it looks like a movie is about to make a huge splash, before they realise that all the noise came from fanboys and that the majority of people weren’t pulled in. Scott Pilgrim, which stars Michael Cera as a man who finds the girl of his dreams but must defeat her seven evil exes to win her, arrives in cinemas August 25th.
