Back in January it was rumoured that Peter Dinklage was going to star in Joe Lynch’s comedy horror The Knight Of Badassdom, but since then we haven’t heard anything else about the movie. The film is about a group of live action role playing gamers, who dress up as knights and elves and re-enact dungeons and dragons types scenarios as part of the Central New Jersey Knights of Badassdom Adventure Society.
However, when one of the party accidentally casts a real spell from a book he bought on eBay, they release a demon with a taste for human souls, and the role-playing becomes all too real.
Now ,in an interview with Access Hollywood, True Blood star Ryan Kwanten says that he’s about to go off and star in the movie (it starts filming in July), alongside Dinklage and Steve Zahn, with Kwanten describing the film as being Its sort of a comedy like Shaun of the Dead meets Role Models.” Although he doesn’t say what role he’ll be playing, it’s likely to to Joe, a guy who doesn’t really want to to do LARP-ing, but gives in when he loses his girlfriend, and his mate Eric (probably Zahn) convinces him it’ll be fun.
Bloody Disgusting also reports that Danny Pudi, from TV’s Community, will star in the film.
