Bruce Willis continues his plan to appear in as many films as humanly possible by signing up for Catch .44, which first time feature director Aaron Harvey will helm from his own script. Bruce has already got some acting company, as Variety reports that Forest Whitaker, Kate Mara and Watchmen’s Malin Akerman will join him in the film.
It’s Akerman who’s got the main role as Tes, the leader of a trio of ordinary women (which also includes Kate Mara’s Kara), who get stuck in an extraordinary situation involving a completely psychotic hitman. Whitaker will be a grizzled trucker, and there’ll also be a delusional cook causing the girls trouble. Willis will be the main behind it all, as Mel, a crime boss who offers the girls a way out of their dead end lives, which proves to be more trouble than they bargained for.
The movie starts shooting next month.
It sounds like Willis’ role will be a supporting one, which should leave him time for the numerous other movies he’s committed to, including Kane & Lynch, The Last Full Measure, Looper, Morgan’s Summit and Die Hard 5. Age certainly isn’t slowing him down.
