New Posters: Jonah Hex, Splice – Plus, Last Exorcism, Charlie St. Cloud, Predators and more…

20th May 2010 By Tim Isaac

A whole slew of new movie posters have emerged online in the last few days, so we’ve grabbed the best that have appeared over at IMPA for you delectation, starting off with some character promos for Jonah Hex…

Jonah Hex based on the DC Comics character, stars Josh Brolin as a scarred bounty hunter taking on a supernatural threat. It’s currently set for UK release on September 24th. Watch the trailer here.

Predators, starring Adrien Brody, is due out on July 8th and sees a group of humanity’s biggest bad-asses kidnapped by the dreadlocked aliens, dumped on their planet and hunted for sport. Watch the trailer here.

Produced by Eli Roth, The Last Exorcism sees a troubled minister allowing a documentary crew to film his final exorcism. No UK release date is currently set.

It seems even the posters aren’t allowed to hint about the plot for Woody Allen’s movies any more. The film, starring Naomi Watts, Josh Brolin, Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas and Anna Friel, is currently screening out of competition at Cannes. No UK release date is yet set.

Not as cool as this earlier poster, but still fun, Splice sees scientists breaking the rules and creating a human/animal hybrid, but inevitably dangerous results. It’ll hit the UK on July 2nd. Watch the trailer here.

Yesterday we had the Charlie St. Cloud trailer, now we’ve got a larger version of the simultaneously released poster. Charlie St. Cloud sees Zac Efron as a young man literally haunted by guilt over his little brother’s death. As he fals into a fantasy world where he can still be with his brother, love threatens to change everything. It’ll reach UK cinemas on October 8th.

Based on the memoir by Elizabeth Gilbert, Eat Pray Love is about a married woman (played by Julia Roberts) who realises her life needs to go in a different direction and, after a painful divorce, takes off on a round-the-world journey of self-discovery. The film is set for UK release on September 24th. Watch the trailer here.
