You may not know who Noah Ringer is now, but come August and the release of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Last Airbender, he should be a much bigger name. He’s got the kick-ass lead role in that action-packed movie, and now Variety has announced he’ll be adding to his resume with a role in Jon Favreau’s upcoming comic-book flick, Cowboys & Aliens.
As with the recently announced Harrison Ford, we don’t know what role 13-year-old Ringer will be taking, although he’ll somehow be mixed up in the tale of a bunch of cowboys and indians in the wild west who have to stop fighting one another and team up to take on an alien invasion that descends on a small town. Daniel Craig is set to take the lead role as gunslinger Zeke Johnson, while Olivia Wilde has also signed on to the film.
Shooting will start this summer, with a release planned for July 29th, 2011.
