Back in November it was announced that Bradley Cooper was replacing Shia LaBeouf in the new film from Neil Burger (The Illusionist), Dark Fields, and it now appears that Zach And Miri star, Elizabeth Banks, is going to join him.
Dark Fields, based on Alan Glynn’s novel, is about the invention of a designer drug that allows you to to access the full capacity of your brain. Cooper will play a down-and-out writer who gets hold of the drug, but inevitably discovers that his newfound intelligence and success comes with a downside, when mysterious forces starting to pursue him.
The Elizabeth Banks news comes via ComingSoon, who are keen to point out it’s an unconfirmed tip at this stage, rather than something that’s definitely happening. She will presumably play the main character’s ex-wife, unless the novel has been altered to give the main character a more traditional love interest, which is more than possible.
