Not long ago, A-Team director Joe Carnahan was weighing up his options and saying that the likely next film for him would be The Grey. Well it turns out things are moving forward fast on that project, as he’s now signed up Hangover star Bradley Cooper to appear in it.
As he told Cinematical a few weeks ago, The Grey is about “a group of pipeline workers in Alaska flying back into civilisation after being remote for a number of months. The 737 they’re on goes down, and they begin to be hunted by a pack of rogue wolves. It’s very much a man vs. nature adventure, existentialist kind of drama that I want to do. We’re very, very close to it now.”
It’s one of those films that’ll either be incredibly cool or very naff, but Carnahan has shown talent for mid-level films with the likes of Narc and Smokin’ Aces, so hopefully he”l be able to pull it off.
