The first poster for Ironclad has premiered over at Empire, and while it’s a bit generic, it’s also fairly cool. In the based-on-a-true-story film, James Purefoy leads a group of 13th Century Knight’s Templar who vow to defend Rochester Castle from the tyrannical King John after he reneges on the promises he made in Magna Carta and tries to bring the nobles back under his rule. The makers promise dirty authentic medieval action, and as you can see from the tagline – Blood. Will. Run!
The film is out later this year, and the poster was created to help sell the movie at the European Film Market. Take a look at it below, or head over to Empire for a slightly larger version.
