Writer Peter Morgan sure loves Tony Blair (well, maybe not love, but he’s sure interested in him), as following The Deal and The Queen, he’s penned The Special Relationship, which is mainly about Blair and US President Bill Clinton’s sometimes tubulent relationship after Tony came to power in the late 90s (you’d have thought a Blair-Bush movie would be more dramatic, as that was more famously problematic, but maybe Morgan’s planning that for a later movie).
Michael Sheen plays Tony Blair once more, while Dennis Quaid steps into the shoes of Clinton. Now, as part of their 2010 preview, Dark Horizons has dug up the first image of Quaid as the former president. While you might not normally thing of Quaid and Clinton as looking alike, with a grey wig and a bit of make-up, Dennis could be his brother. Richard Loncraine is directing the movie, which will be out later this year, but look below for the first image.
