Ben Stiller’s out to prove there’s more to him than just the guy who runs around looking exasperated in broad comedies. In Greenberg he plays Roger, who’s unemployed and ends up housesitting at his brother’s home in LA. He strikes up a friendship and awkward romance with his sibling’s assistant Florence (Greta Gerwig), while also dealing with the fact he’s no longer in the first flush of youth. As the movie is from Squid and the Whale director Noah Baumbach, it look more downbeat and contemplative than we normally see from Stiller, although it does seem like it’s going to be pretty funny. The film is due out next year, but click below to watch the trailer.
