If you’re anything like us, you’ve spent the last 19 years wondering when they’re going to make another sequel to Three Men and a Baby. Well, in truth, it hadn’t crossed our minds once either. However it looks like we’re going to get one, as Steve Gutternberg has been talking to WENN and announced official plans for Three Men and a Bride, which would obviously see the little tyke from the first two films, now all grown up and ready to get hitched.
Tom Selleck, Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg are all up for revisiting their past ‘glory’ (and why wouldn’t they be, as other than Danson on Damages, it’s not like they’re up to much). Guttenberg seems pretty confident everyone will want them back, saying, “Disney’s developing Three Men and a Bride. That’s going to be a smash. A smash hit. They’re bringing everybody back for that.”
To be honest, he could be right, as there is the intirgue of seeing the 80s threesome back together for those who remember that far back, and as nearly every hit romantic comedy is about a wedding, it’s also likely to attract those who don’t care what the bride was up to as a baby or little lady.
However, Guttenberg isn’t satisfied with just one dip back to the days when people remembered who he was, adding “It’s definitely time for another Police Academy. And I think they could make another Cocoon. They’re surefire hits and I think they’re good for the world. They make the world a better place and that’s what it’s all about.”
Boy, the man sure doesn’t lack self-confidence.
