The producers of the James Bond series sure like to keep their cards close to their chest. Since the release of Quantum Of Solace there’s been little news about Bond 23, the next secret agent adventure. However Daniel Craig has let slip that the next Bond movie will begin filming late next year.
CommanderBond.net found a YouTube video of Craig signing autographs outside the Broadway theatre where he’s currently starring opposite Hugh Jackman in A Steady Rain, in which he says Bond 23 will start “End of next year.”
At the moment MGM and Bond producers Eon have made no comment on Craig’s claims, although what the 007 actor says certainly make sense. While there was only two years between Casino Royale and Quantum Of Solace, the average through the Pierce Brosnan Bond era was a new Bond film every three years. A shoot late next year would allow this pattern to continue, with the 23rd Bond movie getting released in 2011.
Currently all we officially know is that Peter Morgan, Neal Purvis and Robert Wade are working on the script. No director is attached.
